HI! I'm Emily and this is my English Language Arts school blog. On my blog I will be writing about this year's language art theme, based on the quote, "I think, therefore I am." I will also be writing my reading logs.
About me-
I am thirteen years old and I am currently in eighth grade. My hobbies and interests are soccer, playing my violin, and baking. For the future I would like to attend UCI. For my career I would like to be in the medical field as a pediatrician.
Reflection on PLG-
So far, on my academic short term goal I passed the SSAT and ISEE test and for my personal short term goal I don't meditate daily maybe only twice a week. I need to continue working on my meditating or relaxing and participating more in class. I also need to raise my B to an A for my long term goal and not be so timid. In the past three months I have learned that if I work really hard on something I can achieve it.

In terms of your PERSONAL LEARNING GOALS that you made in October, where are you in your journey towards achieving those goals? What can you continue to work on or do more of so that you can successfully achieve those goals? Did your viewpoints about those goals change in any way? In terms of your Academic growth as demonstrated through MAP SCORES, did you grow, not grow, or go down? Which areas do you need to work more on, and which areas are you proud of? What do you hope to achieve by your spring MAP test?
For my personal learning goals I meditate or relax at least 3 times a week, I still need to work on participating more in class, I also have almost all A's, and finally I need to work on being less shy. My viewpoint about meditating because I never really have a lot of time to mediate. Through my maps scores I did not increase, but I achieved all the goal performances. For the spring Map test my goal is to achieve my goal or 234.
